Once upon a time long long ago, in a land far far away, a young Englishman was born. He turned out to be someone with places to go, people to see and things to do. At that time, long long ago, there was a lack of electronic technology and, therefore, an absence of methods of communications giving easy access to millions of curious people eager to follow the stories and graphic evidence of would be explorer’s and adventurer’s exploits.
Discovering digital photography in 2004 has allowed ample time to amass an archive of tens of thousands of pictures. Inspired by now prolific blogger bananabatman, a fellow photographer from the local camera club, I decided to join in to this increasingly popular, creative pastime. Seeing others blogs where they have recorded visits to exotic places and people at first gave into the thoughts of envy, but in retrospect that’s not what blogging is about; it is about the sharing of experiences. So with this thought in mind it was decided to look for unusual and the quirky things that can be seen mainly locally; sights that the curious people might never have the opportunity to see.
I have tried to repeat this ethic, not only in these behind the camera blogs, but on you tube too, those interested look up twhitch’s channel.
Welcome to my world.
